New Google Search Index "Caffeine" Now Live at Google Search
New Google Search Index "Caffeine" Now Live at Google Search

Caffeine has been implemented over time and yesterday Google completed it's implementation of Caffeine as it's search index. Google has stated that Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than their previous index, and it's the largest collection of web content they have ever offered. Google also said that with Caffeine you can now find links to relevant content much sooner after it is published than was possible ever before.

Here is what Caffeine will do better:

  • Processes thousands of pages in parallel.
  • Caffeine adds hundreds of thousands of gigabytes of data per day.
  • Each second Caffeine processes thousands of pages in parallel to give you fresher information.
  • With Caffeine, Google can analyze the web in small portions and update the search index on a continuous basis

I for one am glad it's finally rolled out. I believe that this was about a 8 month roll out of Caffeine.
